BEST coffee in St. John's. I like the simple menu and great beer selection. Sometimes the burger patty is a bit bland or dry, but overall the food is good and reasonably priced.

Absolutely amazing!!! Mara has opened a creative and fresh place like St. John's has never seen! I absolutely love Folly and recommend it to anyone who has not been to try it! The atmosphere is exciting and the music beats anything ) Keep doing what you do best!!

Delicious. Seriously. The T-bone special was one of the best steaks I'd had in ages. Can't wait to go back and see if it's back on the menu.

The Sticky Date Pudding was AMAZING. As was the service, food and coffee. What other restaurant in town plays DE LA SOUL?

We had a great meal on New Years eve. Service and food was excellent. We had three different entrees, main courses and dessert, servings were of what would be served at any restaurant.
I had read reviews before going and went with an open mind. I guess some people are hard to please, we had a great meal.

Had breakfast at Tangled up in Blue on Sunday 26th October - was in St John's exhibiting at the Wine Fest. Great breakfast and excellent coffee. A neat little place.

LOVE the pizza's! Reminded me of Italy- as did the coffee- two enthusiastic thumbs up!

Tangled on a Tuesday is lots of fun. Flight of the conchords on the tv upstairs was hilarious! There were some awesome supper specials, loads of cocktails and a vast selection of both local and imported beers. Had a great night out and will be back next Tuesday night to see more of the FOTC!

I don't understand why everyone rates this restaurant so high! I've visited Tangled up in Blue 3 times as I have lived in Australia and wanted this place to succeed, but I have been dissapointed in the food each time. The saving grace was the waitstaff, but I'm not sure why they ask how you want your steak, as it is always over-cooked. I found the menu to be lacking imagination, and the small serving size was the only thing (besides the waitstaff and alcohol) that reminded me of Australia. Overpriced for nothing special.

Excellent place. The coffee is what it should always be.

Nice atmosphere, service and everything else mentioned.
What should also be pointed at is that every dish or desert there has a little something special. Nothing adventurous but a flavour, an ingredient, something that enhance the most classic recipes.

Also, the specials really are specials, different every time we go.

My wife, Tina & I had our 10th Anniversary lunch @ Tangled Up In Blue...We found the service, location, atmosphere & choices excellent. Both of our meals were very pleasantly served & tastefully presented. Portion size was Not an issue for this Very Serious Eater!!

As pointed out by an Italian chap...The Coffee is GREAT!!!

Back tomorrow with our eldest child home from Ottawa!!

it's the only place to eat in st. john's where you can have an excellent meal
and then follow it up with a great cup of coffee. why do other restaurants
forget how important this is? it's unpretentious, the food is delicious and the service excellent. i fully recommend it.

Very disappointed in the food and service at Tangle Up in Blue. Had the ribs...awful! and my companion had the Gnocchi...again Awful! servings were small, quality was poor, service was basic, Left after $50 and still hungry.(no appetizer , drinks or dessert). Will NEVER go there again.

A great atmosphere for a date or a girls night out. Excellent service and food.

This is a great new restaurant in a very handy location - close to downtown, and with good parking all around (important for us out-of-town drivers!) We love the atmosphere - relaxed and easy, but a bit edgy too (check out the loos!!) The pizza is really worth making the trip out for, we love the salmon - well, we are working our way through the menu really. And at the end of it all, a chat with the girls and a flat white - what could be better??

im hesitant to write a review because I feel it has slipped under the radar as being one of St John's finest, and not too overcrowded but i would like to see those girls suceed. Certainly the best cup of coffee I've experienced through out North America. I've been having my weekly brunch there with my partner since they opened their doors and i am astonished that such young girls are able to provide one of the BEST dining experiences in St John's. Value for money. Friendly atmosphere. Vibrant colors and complex menu variety. 5 stars.

Fabulous new restaurant. We went with three other couples and we each ordered different entres and they were all fabulous. We shared 4 appetizers and they were also wonderful. Really nice atmosphere and great service by attentive staff. Definately would go again!

The best dining experience in St. John's. The girls make you feel at home and the coffee is perfect! And coming from an Italian...I think that means somehting...having spent 10 days in St. John's we had the good fortune of having breakfast there each day...a couple of lunches and one dinner...my wife and I spent more time discussing what menu item we would experience at the Tangled Up In Blue than we would the local sites....
I think they should franchise...if they do...I will be the first one to open a location in Yaletown...Vancouver...

What a great place, very cozy and friendly, Ask for Mara or Jessi. These girls are the Bomb and sure know how to make you feel welcome.
If your looking for your aussie fix and something a little differnt, this is the place to be.
